Solvable PT symmetric Hamiltonians
Within the so called PT symmetric version of quantum mechanics a brief review of the exactly solvable models is given. Distinction is made between the curved and straight coordinate lines, between their unbounded (aperiodic) and bounded (periodic) choices, and between the completely and partially solvable cases.
متن کاملη-Pseudo-Hermiticity generators: radially symmetric Hamiltonians
Hamiltonian models with radial symmetry are considered and a class of their η-pseudo-Hermiticity generators is described. Illustrative examples are given, amongest are η-pseudo-Hermiticity generators for an η-pseudoHermitian Morse and an η-pseudo-Hermitian weakly perturbed harmonic oscillator models. متن کاملmathcal { PT } $ - symmetric nonlinear metamaterials and zero - dimensional systems
A one dimensional, parity-time (PT )-symmetric magnetic metamaterial comprising split-ring resonators having both gain and loss is investigated. In the linear regime, the transition from the exact to the broken PT -phase is determined through the calculation of the eigenfrequency spectrum for two different configurations; the one with equidistant split-rings and the other with the split-rings f...
متن کاملFundamental length in quantum theories with PT −symmetric Hamiltonians
One-dimensional motion of a quantum point particle is usually described by its wave function ψ(x) where the argument x ∈ IR represents a (measurable) coordinate and where the integrated probability density is normalized to one, ψ * (x)ψ(x) = 1. The direct observability of x may be lost in PT −symmetric quantum mechanics where a " smeared " metric kernel Θ (x,x ′) = δ(x − x ′) may enter the doub...
متن کاملMonitoring energy drift with shadow Hamiltonians
The application of a symplectic integrator to a Hamiltonian system formally conserves the value of a modified, or shadow, Hamiltonian defined by some asymptotic expansion in powers of the step size. An earlier article describes how it is possible to construct highly accurate shadow Hamiltonian approximations using information readily available from the numerical integration. This article improv...
